So according to DeviantArt it has been a year since I did my last journal entry!!
What a difference a year makes!
A lot of things have happened this year. Sadly my little dog Molly passed away in January. I have had lots of lovely comments from friends and family I support. Its still quiet but I know she'll be feeling better elsewhere now.
On a positive note here's an update on what I have done/seen this year:
1) I began a teacher training course and met some of the funniest, craziest people ever.
2) I have since completed said teacher training and am now an art teacher!- That's right ladies and gents....an ART TEACHER
3) I had my graduation over a week ago and had a smashing day as well as afternoon tea.
In terms of personal life, I am still drawing but since this last year I will be planning on doing a variety of art techniques and posting photos of these pieces to get feedback.
I have also caught up on my TV/ film viewing including:
Big Hero 6
The Mysteries of Laura
Game of Thrones- not quite up to date with this yet so NO SPOILERS PLEASE
Magic Knights Rayearth
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Sailor Moon Crystal
Well Sailor Moon Crystal finished last week and I am so pleased I followed all the way. I personally think that they were very good at keeping to the manga and trying to do justice to the original design. With regards to mistakes, I think I said when it started that people need to get over it. I'm convinced that by the end, the animators were probably putting in mistakes to see who would be sad enough to scrub through and check it. Anyway, if I'm not completely broke by the time all the dvds are released I will be purchasing them (or hopefully another boxset).
Not much to say on the others. I loved Big Hero 6 but I'm still loving Frozen. I'm currently working through MLP and I'm enjoying that too. I quite like the humour in it.
My new thing is FMA! I have recently finished Brotherhood and I was aware that there was more than one series. I bought this on a whim without any sort of reviews. After finishing it including crying, sitting on the edge of my seat and being hooked from the first episode, I was happy to read that most people agree its closest to the manga. I personally haven't read it but I appreciate being able to enjoy an anime that doesn't pile in a load of pointless fillers. Having said that I have seen clips of the other one and I am curious but for my own sanity I think I'll remain content with Brotherhood.
If anyone wants to share their thoughts, I don't mind. Just don't reveal any spoilers for anything I haven't seen.
So I am now currently on hols. I will be doing more art, more writing, trying photography and experiment with different techniques.
Thanks for reading. I will keep you posted
